I’ve been lucky to get very little SPAM. I do try to manually check everyone who follows me before following them back so I can learn more about them and know they are people I want to connect with and have similar interests. Thanks for the comment re my blog – it’s pretty cool I admit But much to improve on – constant work in progress!

I’d add No #4 be yourself and treat your relationships on Twitter like you would those in the offline world. It’s all about providing value as you say above, and also engaging, being social, friendly, funny and informative. Most of all have fun! I love the connections I’ve made on Twitter as well as what I’ve learned.
