I’m not sharing a lot of pictures via Twitter, but I have done it, and I do it every now and then. I do it because pictures are awesome when it comes to telling a story.

Some stories are easier to tell using pictures.

It’s important to understand that Twitter is not only 140 characters of text. It’s easy to share audio, video, and there are several really interesting services available for free when it comes to sharing pictures.

I have only been using Twitpic and Ow.ly. That’s because they’re integrated in the Twitter clients I’m currently using. Twitpic is integrated in the one I’m using for my iPhone (Tweetie) and Ow.ly is integrated in the one I’m using on my Mac (Hootsuite).

I’ve been searching and I’ve found many interesting free tools that will help us share pictures via Twitter.
