It seems that the people I follow on Twitter tweet every single day, but the times they tweet and how many times a day they tweet seem to vary.
How many tweets do you publish daily?
I don’t have a strategy myself, I tweet when I feel like it, no matter what time of day it is, no matter how many tweets I’ve published earlier that day.
Usually, I don’t publish less than 5 tweets a day, that’s on a regular day. If I’m on vacation or something irregular is happening, it might be less. I don’t think that I have published more than 15 tweets on a single day. Usually I publish between 5 and 10 tweets daily.
To me, this seems fairly normal.
I’m thinking that if I publish less, like once or twice a day, my tweets will probably not be read, because my tweets usually just end up in the twitter timelines of my followers along with hundreds or thousands of other tweets.
Let me ask you this.
Is it really a limit for how many tweets you can publish daily for it not to be considered spam? The more tweets you publish the more visible you’ll be. On the other hand, if you tweet a lot, like 50 times a day, people might start unfollowing you because your tweets clutters their timeline.
Consider this, it might not matter how many times you tweet, it’s the quality of your tweets that matter.
I’m really interested, how many tweets do you publish daily?

It just kind of depends as most of my tweets are RTs from blog posts. I do a few regular or personal tweets but for the most part they are leading to blog posts.
I suppose there are days when I'm catching up that I probably tweet too much but for the most part I haven't seen anything to tell me it's bothering people. If so, it's not a whole lot.
As you said I think it depends on the quality of the tweets.
At the moment I'm thinking about what too many tweets are, and if people get bothered as they do when it comes to email. Or if they just filter tweets in a different way?
I don't get bothered as easy when it comes to Twitter. I receive a few spam tweets a day, but I don't think much about it.
I'm tracking my tweets, and this way I can see how many clicks they are receiving. I'm testing if the number of tweets actually matters. I'll let you know as soon as I have any results to show.
What i understand is tht its not the number of tweets that matter but the timing which makes a great difference (quality yes is always mandatory) There is no such thing as a right timing but if we casually analyse which tweets click and which do not with the followers we soon realize there is a pattern.
At times I tweet twice a day to satisfy both the zones but that has to be careful and done only if required else it ends up being spammy
Hey Himanshu, thanks a lot for your comment.
I have also been thinking about timing lately, and that's why I'm usually scheduling my tweets. I live in Norway, and most of my followers live in the US or in parts of Asia. So, when I'm active on Twitter, many of my followers are not.
I haven't found a pattern yet, and I haven't discovered the perfect timing either… but I'm still searching, and so far, what I do is I try to tweet at many different hours of the day.
